This project was born from the client's need to represent a harmonious way of coexistence between human beings and nature. The hand was chosen as a symbol of the human element and birds as a symbol of nature. Based on bird watching material from photographer Waldemar Seehagen, the art was developed on a neutral background that seeks to give new meaning to the dialogue between the two worlds.
"Reframing" the relationship between humans and nature is a concept that invites us to reconsider our connection to the natural world, emphasizing our responsibility to protect it. Through the assembly of a compelling work of art, this concept invites viewers to view this relationship in a new light.
A graphite drawing of human hands is depicted cradling and protecting delicate, colorful birds, captured through color photography. These hands symbolize the human touch in nature, portraying our potential to nurture and protect the environment. The graphite drawing offers a timeless representation of human agency, highlighting the enduring nature of our role in preserving the natural world.
Birds species represented:

1. The rufous-collared sparrow or Andean sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis)
2. The hepatic tanager (Piranga flava)
3. The sayaca tanager (Thraupis sayaca)
4.The Amazonian motmot (Momotus momota)
5. The rufous-browed peppershrike (Cyclarhis gujanensis)
The vivid, vibrant birds in the photograph represent the splendor of the natural world's biodiversity. The contrast between the grayscale hands and the lively, living creatures evokes a sense of hope and urgency, emphasizing the need for a fresh perspective in our relationship with nature. By reframing this relationship, we are encouraged to recognize our obligation as stewards and the profound beauty that we must protect and celebrate.
These art pieces encapsulates the concept of reframing the relationship between humans and nature, challenging us to see ourselves as custodians of the delicate balance that exists between humanity and the natural world.

It calls for a renewed commitment to safeguarding and cherishing the environment we are interconnected with.
